The Jemicare breast pump is made from BPA-free, food-grade materials and is designed for easy assembly, disassembly, washing, and maintenance.
To ensure longevity and optimal performance, follow these care guidelines:
- Dishwasher Safe (Low Heat Only) – All parts except the motor can be cleaned in the dishwasher using a low-heat cycle (40–60°C). Alternatively, wash by hand with warm soapy water and a soft cloth or brush. Always ensure parts are completely dry before reassembling. Avoid high heat (above 100°C) to prevent discolouration or warping.
- Sterilisation Not Required – Pump parts come into contact only with breast milk, which is sterile, so sterilisation is not necessary unless instructed by a medical professional.
- Keep Electronics Dry – The pumping motor, USB charging cord, and bra adjustment buckle should not be washed.
- Remove the Motor Before Pouring – Always detach the motor before pouring out milk to prevent liquid from entering and damaging the motor.
- Silicone Part Replacement – Depending on your pumping frequency, it is recommended to replace silicone parts (valve, diaphragm, and flange) every three months for optimal performance.
By following these guidelines, you’ll help extend the life of your Jemicare breast pump and ensure safe, hygienic use for you and your baby.
